How to set up web server?
This is my first “professional” website I am building for someone else. She is part of a home owners association and they want a basic website with links (nothing too fancy). However, if they do expand in the future, they want to be able to do it without a webmaster (me). This is my plan as well because I don’t have time to manually edit their html every time they come up with new materials.
What is the best way to set up this website? I do know my HTML/CSS/Javascript and basic PHP/MySQL. Should I do A Blog type setup where i program the website PHP in WordPress/Joomla/Droopal? I do not actually know any PHP coding so i would have to learn it by Christmas break which is when i will make the site. But how should I go about making the site? It won’t be on the scale of Amazon or facebook where intense server side coding is necessary to organize large amounts of info to display. just need a method so they can edit their own content without me intervening.

You can use Joomla. Small business seem to love it (see: http://www.itoctopus.com/joomla-for-small-business ).
Joomla is powerful, easy, and you don’t need technical skills to use it (if you’re using it at a basic level).
